8By definition, in cannot be subjective, other wise that would be an opinion or perspective.. not truth.

No the truth is the truth. Views and opinions are subjective.

Facts are not subjective, but people's viewpoint and which facts they see or do not see is subjective. And we can't always get a 100% clear picture of what the truth is but make an education judgement call based on what we know with as many facts as possible.

4Technically no... but if there are two different people in a situation, they will each have their own experience of it and their own truth, and each is valid. You might see or hear or take away something that I didn't, but just because in didn't hear it or see it doesn't make it untrue.

9Those are matter of faith, which IMHO doesn't have anything to do with truth. Also, what we call "scientific truth" is basically something which match with our system of understanding our world, called "science". Which made those kind of thruth objective.

In short, yes. Even what does and doesn't meet the definition of "truth" is subjective.

One way around this is to define the "truth" as something that is observer-independent, i.e., factual statements can only be "true" or "false" if they are grounded in physical reality. That is, instead of asking if truth is objective, we can simply say that the very concept of "truth" can only be...

4As an analytical, Aspie programmer, no. But I do understand how one's perception of the truth can feel as true as 1=1

Truth is not subjective. Unfortunately these days it is treated like it is though.

No i don’t think that. The human mind has a lot of cognitive biases and can deceive itself rather easily. On top of that, the brain is wired differently for every person m. Depending on the situation maybe some people who think naturally in Big picture thinking have a more accurate view of the...

I don't think so. There are two kinds of beliefs: 1) the ones that have to do with objective reality, e.g., whether the God exists, whether men and women think/behave the same way, whether alien life exists, etc. In such matters, there is an objective right answer that is out there (though we...

6Truth is limber but can't be silenced. Facts are rigid yet can be smeared.

5You can skew a truth to fit a different narrative. So, truth can be subjective but it isn't inherently subjective.

5There are different forms of truth. 1+1=2. But 7-5 also equals 2. Caramel tastes disgusting to my taste buds. But caramel tastes delicious to my dad's taste buds. My birth name is Joshua. And no matter what, that will always be true. Those are examples of three different kinds of truth.

2Let me ask everyone this. Why is it that telling the truth to people is harder than telling people lies? I'm curious to know what everyone's thoughts are.

I don’t think I began to wonder how many lies you would say just to make your life seem seamless. There are no cracks, errors, or bumps in the path you chose. “I follow her wherever I go, my legacy”. Legacy would make sense if you were honest to yourself and others. To put your insecurities behind...
