Swedish freight technology company Einride has announced that it has received approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to operate its Autonomous Electric Transport (AET) vehicles on U.S. public roads. The truck is controlled by a remote operator. The approval from the NHTSA marks the first time a purpose-built autonomous electric truck without a driver on board receives public road permission. Pretty cool!

Ever seen a backlight system before?

I'm so proud of my work! I was so nervous trying to pry the bezel off and then confused with why I couldn't disconnect my screen from the video cable. It wasn't even that hard really. Thanks to everyone who sent prayers my way 🤣 The pic is of me testing the new screen before I put it all together.

It never happened because of a mixture of the sunkern cost fallacy and blind greed. Money isn't real, when the world becomes uninhabitable for humans what is money but another piece of plastic that used to mean something and just exists now, until one day a fungus evolves the ability to metabolise plastics and it all starts again. We could all be exploring the stars mining asteroids, building huge monuments to humanity to remain after we are long gone. We can actually colonise the galaxy right now and it would only take a few millions years to see everything there is to see. None of that is going to happen now, and all because a few people beleive the lie, just a handful of people. It's not sci fi. We could all be much much happier much smarter and living in multiple paradise earth's but no, everybody would rather hurt each other for things that are not real. None of it matters, like, we just wasted a whole galactic year to appease some fat cats who are going to die without children and take the economy with them. The worst part is I have never met another person that does not on some level wish they were the top dog with all the money and all the toys and all the power to exploit others. Perhaps I have lost hope? And I can't see the wood for the trees. I think i probably have. I can see a whole world that we can build right now, no magic no sci fi, no tricks or lies or fiction of any kind. We could all 9 billion of us be prospering but instead we are all playing this stupid game and not one single person can tell me why, nobody questions it. There is a whole universe out there waiting to be exploited and turned into planet sized arcologies and all any of you seem to want to do is exploit each other and accumulate until you die, leaving only the house to win and take it all back. You all wanna be celebrated? Why? You won't love much longer than a galactic year, only the future matters, not your cake. Not my cake. The cake does not belong to anybody, it is just cake. And we can all have it we can alll have cake. 'It's mine' ummm but what do you mean it is yours? Can anybody tell me? Has anybody even thought about it? Nothing is ours, that's such a fearful desperate lonely concept. Why do you want to possess things? Nothing lasts forever, why are you all possessing things when you could be experiencing them and together with others the way it was meant to be. We have nothing to fight each other for, you cannot tell me we can't learn to get along for the sake of the future? And now there is no future for anybody, without this planet on our side we are done. Itll be whatever comes after we are gone that will colonise the galaxy. And unlike us they might survive until the galaxy callapses in a few billion years, an (kinda) endless journey through the void of space, orbiting a rogue ultramassive black hole, running a trillion-strong civilization off hawking radiation alone. Could be us, but instead it seems most people like not knowing anything at all about the universe, they just want whatever they want.

Are you with or against automation in a production environment? I am a electrician who has been working in automation and plan to work towards becoming a Electrical Engineer. Seems to be mixed views when people hear I work in Automation Manufacturing.
