Depression?

How do you handle or cope with your depression?

I try thinking about all the little things that make me happy. I go look at memes, go to the park, play video games, just doing anything that keeps my spirits up. The negative thoughts are invasive, sure, but I'd be damned to let them stop me from enjoying myself.

I tend to isolate myself, being single, and go out somewhere and mind my business, or hope for a conversation that takes my mind off things. If coupled with someone, I vent to them, and do things together if there's time. Keeping yourself occupied is probably a good way to get out of a rut.

I distract myself with art projects, and I watch a lot of funny movies and shows.

Work... No joke. Saturday I was out talking to staff. I had no work on the books and I said I expect to be depressed by the end of the week. (The phone started ringing yesterday)

Avoiding things that make it worse for me like too much sleep, certain music, isolating, not communicating, writing too much, driving a lot.

I got past depression but neurolinguistic programming can help.

Take some time to do something you find therapeutic, I personally like reading, making art, going for a walk, and a few other things. Some days one thing works and some days another does. You just gotta keep moving forward and find what works for you. You can do it!
