What's a fact you know that sounds fake?

So just wanting to know how many people out thier think aliens are real?

We have all heard of gallon water challenges, 8 cups, or 2.5 to 3 liters of water a day. But is this scientifically evident, or a marketing ploy? Research shows that anyone recommending these levels of water consumption are really taking the piss. Drink water when you feel thirsty, reach for water more often than soda when you're feeling thirsty.

I should really do my dissertation but I have zero motivation haha

We've all heard that we are likely in the matrix.. Some scientists believe that we have a 1 in 3 shot, others like Elon Musk believe it's a 50/50 shot. This stems from the inevitable fact that AI will eventually take over. Probably in less than 80 years. I believe when AI takes over it will not be like Terminator. AI will realize we gave birth to it and then it will decide we need to be protected. I'll let your imagination take over from there.... After that point in history I believe AI will determine that the best way to survive will to spread us across the universe and seed the galaxy. Pockets of intelligent life sprinklered throughout the galaxy would inevitably end in their own creation of AI. Basically individual experiments to see what happens. This may be the reason we don't see anyone out there... If they have already done it and seeded the galaxy all they have to do is sit and wait. In which case we will not see advanced civilizations like we've been looking for..... And alien sightings would actually be ancestors sightings. Either that... Or we are in the matrix.

I could talk for hours about this topic so please take time to read my little excerpt. According to pewresearch.org, 2 in 3 people are susceptible to misinformation in the United States. Over %60 of the American public, an overwhelming amount, don't take in any time to research any of the claims and talking points websites and news outlets say. It is statically possible both you and I believe in misinformation but I try my best to stay topical in all subjects and fields of information. This also applies to the rapint growth of pseudo science, meaning fake science, which clouds the minds and judgments of individuals alike. It grays the lines of science by a huge margin and makes science look unreasonable and dogmatic. People that want to claim that the earth is flat, vaccines are dangerous, or other misleading views of science,.. as there's alot, feel free to privately talk more about this issue or anything else in an academic matter.

When in meditative/trance state the moment I make it out of it I often find my brain feels like everything g is in slow motion even when I'm aware it isn't it processes information seconds faster for a short amount of time before its overwhelmed. Over the years I realized this happens any time I close my eyes for approx. 10 minutes and clear my mind best I am capable. It's odd how a moment of peace no matter how or where it comes from can so drastically effect the mind at least in my case I hope everyone is capable of finding their little slice of peace in these difficult times and I hope it helps you see things more clearly.

I've noticed that when someone looks 10+ years older than their age, they rarely smile and often seem to be negative and hateful in general. On the other hand, people who look young for their age tend to smile a lot. What do you think?
