Like how is it possible to keep up with conversations where they ask you about you and all the say is “yeah that’s about the same for me” DEAD END ANSWERS! And then say “let’s talk more?” I legit at that point dont even bother 😂mind you when I say I don’t even bother, at least I reply back stating I am not interested and to tell them good luck

I've been in a single relationship in my entire life. It was sudden, lasted three years, and was the most beautiful thing I ever experienced. But that was 6 years ago. Ever since I moved on, I've been relentlessly looking for a partner, but the only thing that stopped me from achieving that is my perspective towards relationships: I would not date someone if I know I can't have a future with them. I consider temporary relationships a scheme for personal benefit. But sadly, I feel that our world is built on the idea of "live the moment, and leave when it's over" The only reason I broke up with my ex was because of a huge family dispute, and we both agreed to let go of our dream to maintain our families integrity. And thanks to this oldschooled mentality, I'll probably be forever alone

I was raised old school if a man wants to take you out he picks you up at your door, opens car doors etc and pays for dinner. It's not like I can't pay for my own dinner, it's just a sign of respect. I've never had a guy not offer to pay for dinner and anytime I've ever offered to split the check the guy got offended lol. But from what I see and hear from others... everyone else splits the check. I'm just curious how others handle this and why

I'm 18 and haven't felt the need or even have wanted to be in a relationship for over a year now. I know I'm still young and naive, but No one interests me anymore, sure I have a few crushes, but I wouldn't want to take things further. Anything besides friendship makes me feel queezy. Am I wrong for it? I have had some bad experiences with relationships in the past (abuse, jealousy, ect..) I don't want to lead anyone on, and I make that known, but I still don't want to hurt anyone's feelings if they do end up liking me. So, should I feel bad about not wanting to find love at my age?

I've been talking to this guy for about almost 2 years on and off. We've sent memes to each other back and forth, talked about cosplay stuff, and setting up convention meet ups. He has told me that he wanted to start off as friends and go from there. I learned that he is divorced and the split hurt him pretty bad (he never told me how long ago). We have gone to conventions together and I really felt we hit it off. We have similar interests and such. I even felt he was flirting with me (could be wrong lol). The last convention we went to, I stayed with his group of friends and hung out with them all and had a blast and he did too. After parting ways, I told him my feelings (which I usually don't do because I fear for the worst) that I liked him and that I know he originally wanted to start off as friends, which I'm fine with but wanted to let him know that I will flirt and such for a closer connection with him. But I wanted to shoot my shot. His response was that he likes me too but felt he wasn't in the right mindset for a relationship and that he would just hurt me if he dated rn. Which I told him I understood that. After sending him my confession he completely cut back on communicating with me. I had to fish for interaction and responses from him. (He never really sent txts to me first i always had to send something) I asked him if I overstepped with my confession which he responded with no, im just transitioning through something rn. And that was it. He's been lax on providing info about himself, like his divorce and what all he's trying to workout. I haven't pryed cause I don't want to push into that but I have shared with him my traumatic relationship and thought he could open up a tiny bit at least. So my question is, (with the draw back from conversing with me) do you think he's just done with me and doesn't even want to be friends and grow that to a relationship down the road or truly trying to work himself out for a relationship(not implying with me persay). Cause at this point i don't even know if he wants to be friends with how little he talks to me now. I feel like we are acquaintances instead friends at this point. Like we know each others names and where we went to school, never hung out and know a couple of the same people type thing. Cause I truly like the guy and have tried to get him to naturally open up about himself but I get nothing.

So guys, how many of you actually care about the female gaze and how many of you fall victims of the male gaze??

Do you prefer blatant and almost tactless honesty or sugarcoating and pleasantries until you have spoken further? I have been told I am too honest and almost too strong willed. But I would rather set my preferences and my boundaries upfront than waste a week talking to someone only to find out later I've wasted my time.

I have a feeling my friends are in a toxic relationship but at the same time they need each other. It worries me that they might get hurt later on, I just hope they, over the time get help and become their best selves.

After years of arguing over the same thing and constantly getting disrespected, I am walking away. He was never mine to begin with and he never loved me. Maybe he really was just using me. Maybe I was right all along. People say dont ignore the red flags and I did the exact opposite. I gave him a chance, ignored his red flags and thought I can make it work. He was never emotionally available, stuck in the past and head over heels with his ex. He would call me a baby whenever my feelings were hurt and never denied any 'accusations' i made against him. He never tried to make things better, only thought about himself. He never even said those 3 words I want to hear so bad. I wish he understood me and took me seriously just like I did for him. I feel so ashamed, I want to run and hide. Just want everything and everyone to leave me alone. I know time will heal but wish it was sooner. I wish I can just forget everything about him, as if he never existed. I am deeply hurt.
