Personally I’ve had issues with anxiety in the past, sometimes even to the point where it somewhat controlled my life, have any of you also dealt with, or are still dealing with it? What gives you temporary relief from it?

When I can, video games. When I can't excuse myself, drift away right where I'm standing. When all else fails, drink, the stronger the better.

5I smoke pot and listen to Alan Watts lectures. There’s a whole lot you can learn from daoism, that you can use to deal with anxiety. That’s what I’ve discovered at least. Good luck, friend! I hope you find a good way to deal with this.

7Same!! I had people telling me "You're different" or "you're not good enough" for a long time and it gave me much anxiety, I've been hurt so much I was afraid of going out sometimes. But then I realized, you know what? I didn't ask to be born you know? Why am I letting these people who are unhappy with them self get in the way of my life? Why am I beating my self down as well? I don't deserve that! I'm doing the best I can and damn it I deserve to be happy!! So I started going out more and I really really love this planet. It's very beautiful. If I kept caring about what other people think I would have never met my boyfriend. I had to learn to be my own friend, not called myself stupid because I would never call my friends stupid. Mental health and positive affirmations is the best way to go. "I'm trying my best" "I deserve to be loved" "I can love myself" ;)

I have. I think it is because I overthink everything. I still have anxiety but what helps is to force yourself to be in a situation that makes you anxious with no ability to leave. Like i moved to a dorm in my school and feel less anxious now. But it only works if you don’t leave the situation. Another thing that helps for me is to be in control of situations and not give always the responsibility to others. And believe in my ability to do things and not ask others for help with the things. Like my homework or how to cook. Also just stop caring about beeing anxious because nothing really matter at all in this world and nothing will happen. And if something happens then it doesn’t matter because life will continue. It doesn’t matter if your anxious just do the things eitherway. Another thing could be listen to music that makes you feel confident.

5I have become very self aware as to what triggers it and what to tell myself during these situations. It's a good thing to look at everything in your life and you control and cannot. Control what you can and for what you cannot, look at the what-ifs, the absolute worst outcomes to a scenario and come up with a reassuring plan on what to do if things don't go right. Even if you have to tell yourself things you don't believe. You'll manifest that things will be alright, in a way
