Kinda of curious how you handle being depressed, or feeling alone. How did you learn to self love? To appreciate yourself? To feel like you deserve the best in life.

Still trying to find my way to self love...have learned to sometimes do things that make me feel happy like going hiking in nature.

You should definitely give it a try. It might help. Its something about nature and the calming effect that it gives by being out there and enjoying the views.

I've gone to several hiking areas around there or near walnut Ca. Theres an app called AllTrails. it shows hikes nearby.

Or have you ever heard of geocaching? Its when you search for small treasures and you get to put your username and day you found it on a paper and if you want to keep the treasure you can replace it with another item. It's pretty fun and it gives like hints and clues on where to find stuff.

1I tend to just sit in the feeling. I keep my routine as much as possible when it comes to my depression. I'm feeling lonely right now. I had asked my bestie if he wanted to take a walk when I got home and he would rather sleep. I get that, so I just kind of... feel alone. I also stress/sadness ate a tablespoon of peanut butter...

1I learned how to crochet and it helped a lot with being a reliable creative outlet for me, along with physical activity like walking or dancing, and being outside in nature (I like places with running water the best 😁). I also make sure that if I'm feeling particularly sad, I make sure that I hit all the basics (food, showering, sleeping), even if it's low effort. And self love can take a while to reach, but I treat my body and mind as if it's one of my closest friends, and I only want the best for my irl friends, so why wouldn't I want it for myself. Affirmations also help ☺️ All of this is by no means stuff that anyone has to follow, it's just what has worked for me 😅 But I just want to add that if you want to talk, I might not answer right away on here (just a forewarning), but feel free to reach out. I don't know you, at least not yet, but you are appreciated and loved and you do deserve all the best in life. ❤️

9Doctors evaluated 80 patients with irritable bowel syndrome. Patients given a placebo were told they were given such. These patients reported a 30% reduction in subjective perception of symptoms. This evidence suggests that a placebo effect works even when it is known to be a placebo. Placebo's work best in areas where the perception of a thing can change the outcome of negative subjective perception. Such as depression, pain, loneliness, etc. A placebo can not change underlying symptoms, such as cancer directly. How could you intentionally use placebo knowing this new evidence?
