1Thank you for the links. I had no idea what "love-bombing" was. After reading, I have had some men tell me they love me after a day. I didn't believe them. It takes me between three to six months before I would even consider if I love the person or not. I take relationships slow. I'm so used to being on my own, anyone saying they love me too quickly, I'm going to question it. The art of knowing each other has been lost, it seem. I look at it as quality, NOT quantity.

There we go! And it's not just words! They can do it through action as well. Buying gifts, taking you out, and doing small actions that could make you fall for them faster. What you said is straight facts! TAKE. IT. SLOW.

Yeah, you can get it in platonic relationships too! Don't be so quick to let ppl in guys! Give it time and get to know the person!

Research narsasism. it's a way people can trick you into thinking it's love too quickly and moving a relationship at warp speed.

Yeah, lots of people can't seem to wait to turn the corner from cute and flirty to needy and weird. Pet names right away, raising you up while putting themselves down, clearly having something that they sort of fetishize about you, it's uncomfortable as hell. I honestly don't end up talking to a lot of people, but more than half of the people I do talk to turn out to be those people.

4Still reeling from a Borderline split, the lovebombing is what got me hooked. For a very intense year, I believed I'd finally found a genuine romance.

4Do you consider yourself to be someone who can tolerate severe mental health issues if you felt the person was “worth it?” Despite the trauma, despite being “high maintenance,” despite the constant need for reassurance and despite potential fights. Would you stay? Are you someone who’s patient and open to things like this? *This may be controversial, but please know that I mean no ill intent behind this post. I struggle with mental health problems, so I’m just wondering.

8Hello everyone! This is a question we've all gotten to ask ourselves hundreds of times, unfortunately, but it human, all too human. When a person you're dating or trying to get to date stops communicating with you - what did you think you've done wrong? I'll let you in on my examples: my mind has a fast pace and a wide horizon, and most people, sadly, can't keep up with it. So, I always blame my IQ not being at least 30 points lower... I simply don't have it in me to small talk, waste time on shallow and unimportant stuff that is flooding our everyday life - and, it costs me dearly. Thanks for reading.

5Sometimes people like to pretend that love doesn't exist because they feel painfully incapable of feeling or receiving it.
