To the gallows I go willingly May the wind stay in my favor Knocke me once praise me a good sailor For tonight I sail with Charon themselves I seek the old wisdom Regret I've never known Fortune I never sought Right the rope and pull it taught Take from me my final breath A word spoken truer there never been I pay that old ferry for a ride To answers they see fit to hide My love is of sorrow and me heart of ice My pain not known nor my sacrifice I only dine on death today Lest me fire taken and my honour weighed The right old hands carry me now To forge anew my iron shell Perhaps next time I'll be just fine For now is just my time Life is naught but mine alone Death itself I sit under its throne She calls to me a haggard crone The sweet song takes me home

If you were to buy a book of poetry, how many poems would you expect to be in the book?

The tightness in my chest, its a rare occurrence In tidal waves of rotten events, never ending currents. The cycle of struggle does not end But I won't waiver, I won't bend. Wavering now, faulter and break Abandon morals for happiness sake? Achilles heel and Icarus wings I am built no less of a fragile being. If I alone cannot follow my virtues How can anyone else stand in my shoes?
