I think it depends on your definition of religion. One definition is "the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods." Buddhism certainly isn't that. But another definition is "a particular system of faith and worship" in which case I think Buddhism...

I love the belief in Christianity that expresses, love thy neighbor as you would yourself, it helps promote a more loving environment!

All of them have a core tenant for living within a tribe.
