5I don't normally experience stress or anxiety. When I have I've noticed focusing on creating something helps. If it were to get bad enough and I needed a large refresh button I'd likely rent a hotel room for the night and find some LSD. It can really help but the individual needs to be ready for it and preferably not be chronically depressed as this can lead to abuse. It's not a particularly addictive substance but the experience can turn into a crutch by someone in a bad psychological state.

I see, the use of it I'm sure can be up lifting, and therapeutic, clearing the mind. Never have I tried lsd, however I find peace in micro dosing shrooms. In capsulised form. One pill, just gives you a warm happy feeling, functional, without the hallucinations. I tend to roll with the punches but when things feel unbearable. I meditate, when I feel my will is lost I medicate, for a few days and im gold for several months. Thank you for sharing your experience. 😊

5Meditation never did much for me when it comes to any of that. It did allow me to feel physical pain and extreme cold less though.

I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but it is interesting that it helps somewhat with what you mentioned. Do you go through pain and the cold chronically?

5This was back in HS when I used it more. Had to go to school 2-3 hours before it was actually opened so I would be out there cold. But honestly I was just interested in the idea of being able to do it because I'd read about it being possible back as a kid so I spent a lot of time as a kid trying to do it.

Your part of the way there, I suggest giving it a shot sometime. Breathing techniques work wonders, meditation helps clear the mind. When you combine them you'll be pretty amazed. 😊

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but cleaning. Cleaning makes me happy. Knowing my home is freshly cleaned makes me feel both accomplished and de-stressed.

I agree, being a custodial supervisor, however, I have to make sure others are doing their job, as well as cleaning, waxing, or detail, covid cleans, chemical spills🤣 Most days are pretty good, from cleaning and enjoying the job. I'm glad that works for you, thank you for sharing. 😊

Walking/cardio/jumping jacks. Close that stress cycle and get the stress hormones out of the system.

Getting out of the comfort zone and socializing is quite an ordeal. The more you dive into it, the more stuck you feel and feelings of hopelessness turn stronger. Sure there are some good things but the parts of my life that require social interaction get so much harder than they need to be. Just venting a bit, sorry.

I am grateful for this moment. I have been meditating for two years now and I know that I so much more to learn. I am grateful that I can bring equanimity everywhere I go. It gives me a center to go back, even working in prisons and courts. When chaos erupts I remember that nothing is permanent and I come back. So grateful that I can share this practice with many. With children and those behind bars who need this so much. I am grateful for every teacher and I hope everyone who reads this know that meditation works and can change your life.

Have you ever tried it? Im curious because I can almost have the general idea of keeping myself so calm I can almost see places I've never been through my own body as if I was on top of a skyscraper or even in another part of the world.

The original meaning for the word security comes from the Latin phrase securus and securus means freedom from anxiety or se meaning without and cura meaning care. In meditation I thought about things that take up space in my life that I don't want in those spaces and how can I trust myself if I am not even providing security to my self ?( if you are wondering why I separate my and self see my other post). What would it look like to only allow things and people into my space that don't pring anxiety into my life? Should you bring security to self and can you truly trust yourself if you can even bring security to your self? Just something I've been meditating on this week.

9There are many different types of meditation out there and was wondering which one(s) you prefer? Is there a particular one you commit to? Or do you like to mix it up? Do you have a particular routine? Do you have a time limit? For me, the goal is to get present, connect with source, and to draw feelings of love and joy from within. So whatever gets me there is what I will do. I don't have a time limit per se, but I do try to get at least 10 minutes in every morning. 💛
