First date

How do you maintain the spark with someone you met online, so that it eventually leads to a first date? I've never dated, so any advice would be of help, regardless of how important it might be.

I think a main thing is if you feel there's a real chance to move from online to video chatting to in person as soon as it's appropriate. If you keep communicating by text only it will almost always fizzle. It's hard to build a relationship over text. Set a time and a date. "Hey want to meet me for coffee at Luckys Coffee at 11am on Sunday? My treat."

Yeah, I would like to meet her too, but the thing is she's a little too far to meet in person. She's moving to the same city I live in soon, so for now it's gotta be online only.
