Does anybody know American Sign Language or learning it in the process or want to learn? Are anyone of you Deaf or Hard of Hearing? If you were to date someone who is Deaf would you be willing to learn sign language for them to improve communication with one and another in the relationship? Would anyone ever be willing to or want to date or be friends with someone who is Deaf/hard of hearing?

That’s amazing. I tell u trust me girl sign language is beautiful and benefit can even speak to babies and toddlers when they haven’t developed their voice yet or if you lose your voice or hearing or sick with sore throat or underwater or in a loud environment like a concert or party or club or through a window you can just sign talk with your hands instead of your voice and no one knows what your saying. It’s amazing. I’d love to learn Spanish and always wanted to.

Aww I’d love to help u learn and sure your welcome to teach me. My nephew himself is Latino my brother is white is his dad. I’d love to be able to speak to him in Spanish somedays. Totally agree a group would be awesome. Just to inform you I’m Deaf/hard of hearing but I can lip read well and hear with my Cochlear implant so I speak well for someone who can’t hear.

I want to learn. I know a few signs but need much, much more practice. 😍 I was born hearing impaired so I always had a secret want to learn, now new me has started bringing things full circle. So, I even have my kids trying it out. 🧡

I'm not deaf or hard of hearing, but I know some basic signs and would love to learn more! Growing up, I was close with someone who was deaf. My ASL has gotten rusty, but I want to relearn it. I feel like it's a great way to communicate, regardless if you're deaf/hard of hearing or not. Ex: signing in the library, communicating when you've lost your voice, emphasizing/clarifying a story.

5I work with a woman who is deaf (I help take care of her) and she is autistic but super willing to teach what she knows. I've also had a class in community college! It's a good start but I do want to eventually learn more and Japanese sign! I'd honestly date anyone...I just gotta actually like them first. There is never an effort I won't put in to make a connection

1I need to learn it. My city has the states main schools for both deaf and visually impaired. It's a high percentage of citizens with hearing impairment so I know enough to say hello and ask basic questions but it can be hard when they add beyond it. Bad part is that I learned all of the foul words easily so at least I know when I or someone else is being cursed at. Dating someone deaf or hard of hearing would just be like dating someone that doesn't speak English well. I would try to learn what I can over time to make things work better.

5I'm definitely interested in learning, but I don't want to try learning two different languages simultaneously so I am waiting until I finish Japanese

1I'm willing to date anyone regardless, they just have to be kind. They use to teach sign language at my elementary school. Have not done it in an long time. I know very little. Sometimes I sign to infants who cannot speak yet. Basic: yes, no, please, and thank you. The deaf people I have talked to had hearing aids, deaf in one ear, or read my lips. So if I really had to I would in an heart beat. .

I know some basic signs (I used to practice when in highschool but I'm rusty) I taught my son some signs to help him communicate and he knows a good amount. He's two now. I think it's great to know, even for those who aren't deaf or HoH. I would totally be willing to increase my knowledge to become fluent so I could communicate with someone, whether it be a friend or potential partner.

Body language says a lot but of course I would learn my significant others only language. If she speaks English I would learn certain phrases or basics of their other language. I wanna understand what be going on during conversations and sometimes you can read things incorrectly

I know asl/esl, my brother is deaf. Dating would depend on their personality, I would try to hook my brother first but if she likes me more then him oh well lol
