id rather go last but im going to play the devils advocate and make my case for going first beginners luck is a thing. when u dont expect anything from yourself rather than mentally deciding whether something is going to be hard or not and subconsciously putting a block on yourself. whereas alot of times when u attempt something the first time with zero expectations you actually end up succeeding because all youre focusing on is trying your best, rather than adding another bar to the cage that is ones psyche.

Welcoming change in thought/action can be a novel experience! I respect that about you. Very bold. 🙏 I love your argument and it's true that if you don't put any pressure on yourself but just go all out and do your best, it can be so much easier and quite likely that you'll succeed, if not have a muhc better time. I have also been reflecting on something similar regarding subconscious block/expectations.. Thank you for sharing. Always love hearing input. 🙂

i mean when i anticipate that things are going to be hard, they feel harder, but if an obstacle surprises me and then im focused on overcoming it, rather than judging its difficulty, it feels more engaging and, dare i say.... fun.

I'd be horrible at Squid Game, but assuming I really am one of the last two participants then going first would more likely be rewarded than second I'd think.
