What do you do ?

Do you love your job? If yes why? If no why do you do it ?

I do love my job! In part because it pays more than I need, even though I only work 3 days a week, and the other part because I genuinely enjoy what I do xD I drive a shuttle van from the airport to a resort. The people are always happy, the tips are pretty generous, I get to drive around all day. What's not to love? I even have wait times where I basically get paid to sit and read xD

That seems like a nice deal ,I do love my job tho I work 5 days a week as mechanical engineer, but all I do at work it's sit on my phone and wait for things to break and yes it provides me with the lifestyle I want and more

I like how I can actually see how my work is helping people... But nah I don't love my job. Would be better if it wasnt underpaid. 🙄

World works on capitalism not on charity ,would be nice if it was tho

Yea... I'm in a job where they can't just replace us since we have specific degrees and there's actually a shortage of us. However, since peoples lives depend on us, we're not allowed to go on a strike to better our salaries or working condition. 😑 The only thing we can do is pretty much say pretty please with a cherry on top 😑

Idk how things work in America tbh never been there yet but I worked in France Italy Spain Portugal England Ireland and so on ,here the degree don't really matter if its not a necessary qualification and they will replace you like no tomorrow if someone else it's putting more work than the other

I'm from Sweden, not the US... My degree is a necessary qualification but no matter how good a job I do, salary won't match it. All the money of the hospital goes to the Drs... Which wouldnt have much to work with if it wasnt for us lab geeks

That I completely understand but can't really do much especially in medicine I know you got into it because you want to save life's but big pharmas who sell and buy those medicine want people to be indebted to them or pay extreme amounts on medication ,I live in England as of the past 4 years and I'm grateful for NHS its like free medical care if you work and pay your taxes

Sigh... There is no big pharma... 😑 Sweden has pretty much free health care and cheap medicine as well. Not only for those who work though.

With that amount on tax (57%)it's not really free as you say and besides everywhere no matter the county there's a big guy or woman in the background saying that we ask that much for X medicine because they can

Varies on income I supose because in England if you make more than 35k a year you pay more taxes something like 31% for someone who dont reach that 35k its 21% and if its more you pay more I'm not sure I forgot the numbers will need to check it up again sometimes

Im only still there cause i got solid co workers,the day one of us quits is the day we all gtfo there💀

I work mostly alone but have a team of great people to help out when needed tho people make the work fun

I dont love my job but i do it because it gives me the flexibility to take care of my daughter. I would much rather be in fish and game. Thats a dream job for me. One day ill get there

Sometimes we do things we don't like just for a better tomorrow, I remember days I used to work hard labour jobs just so I can have a roof over my head ,luckily now I'm doing what I love as of past 4years and I wouldn't change it , hope you get to do what you want aswell seems like a cool thing to do

I hate my job Bc of the state I live in. it a daily reminder that I lost a wonderful job and I had to move away from my friend and family.

There are more important things than money even tho we need it to survive
