How do you shop for books?

Typically I send free samples to my Kindle for any book I'm interested in. If I make it to the end of the sample I buy the book. Sometimes I flip through the book samples to find my next book. It's like my own personal library. How do you look for books?

Go to the library and check out a book whose synopsis I read OR read a synopsis online and find a physical copy in the library. (:

I go for groceries and I find books there with great prices. Or there is cafe where I can pick up book together with coffe. Or I borrow them from library or from my friends.

I think it depends on the book tbh, I sometimes do like you with amazon. However, for some I have to go to these random sites like for example for a light novel from japan I had to go to book walker.

I need to see covers lol. Either browsing at a library/thriftstore or scrolling through amazon. I can't just scroll through a list of ebook titles, I will NEVER just randomly pick one no matter how impulsive I'm feeling that day.
